Terms of service

Agreement

By commissioning me for any fursuit related project you are confirming that you have read and accepted all of Punk Paw Studio Terms of Service. You MUST be 18+ to commission, no exceptions. 

Introduction

Punk Paw Studio is an independently owned business run by Xochitl (aka me). I am a young adult who works alone on all of the projects. I strive to make fursuits to the best of my ability.  I have a style that would be categorized as “toony suits.” This is my full time job at the moment, while I also balance school full time. Please be patient and don’t be rude, i have the right to refuse service if you are being extremely inflexible and impolite. I am reachable through social media like instagram, telegram, discord, tiktok or via Email. The suits are 100% hand made, therefore are unique and imperfect. I try my best to minimize imperfections, but I am only human. I work hard on the quality and the durability of my suits, but one must understand handmade products may not hold up as well as factory made clothing. Wear your fursuits in stressful situations at your own risk. I am not liable for any injuries suffered to the wearer or damages to the suits. 

Allergies warning + repair policy

I own cats, who I can't keep away from my work space. If the buyer is severely allergic to cats I highly encourage commissioning elsewhere for your own safety.  As for the repair policy: I will repair any imperfections after receiving the product for up to 3 months, buyers will only pay for shipping. After the grace period is up, there will be a charge for repairs and shipping. I highly encourage all clients to learn basic sewing skills for easy repairs and maintenance.( it will save your wallet and your suit).  I recommend a ladder stitch, a blanket stitch and a simple whip stitch. For thread, I use the Cloak n Clark upholstery thread. You can look any of those stitches up on youtube or any video platform.

Quotes

Receiving a quote provides me with details and reference of the project so I can give a more personalized estimate of the price of your suit. The starting prices are just a guideline on what to expect for a simple suit. I require a quote to be given before the commission discussions start.  I will need an unshaded reference sheet that includes the front, back and side view of your character. If the character is asymmetrical it will need views. (Example below) It will also need smaller details of the suit. Small details include: mouth color, tongue color, teeth color, paw pad color for hands, feet, and where fur is longer or shorter, etc. ( we can also discuss that) For the quote please fill out this form after you are done reading. NSFW refs and refs made using AI IS NOT allowed. I do not support AI in any way shape or form. That is an automatic NO for a commission from me. SUPPORT REAL HUMAN ARTISTS!!! Please contact me on an account that is not private so I am able to DM you. Quote pricing is determined through many factors such as: amount of colors, complexity of markings, size of ears and tail, and any extras the buyer requests. If a reference is inaccurate and the buyer has not pointed it out it is not my responsibility to have known which marking is correct. The design of the character/suit cannot be changed once payment has started except for minor adjustments.

Wips + estimated wait times

I send wips ( work in progress) pictures weekly when I am working on a project,( If not then more). If I haven't sent anything in a couple days or just have some questions, feel free to message me! I promise I won't bite. I don't appreciate large design changes in the middle of the production process, designs MUST be finalized before the payment stage. If there is going to be a large change there will be a fee with it.  As for the wait times, I prioritize older projects first, so they are ahead of you in the queue, please expect these wait-times . When it's your turn, I will contact you via email or DM you to let you know you're up next.

ESTIMATE WAIT TIMES

Head-1-3 months

Mini partial -3-4 months 

Full partial- 3 ½-5 months

Full suit 5-10 months 

(I often work pretty fast, I’m giving myself room here)

If there are complications to your suit or if your suit is complicated,  it may be a little longer than expected. I’ll keep you updated to make sure you're on track and up to date with your commission. Also keep in mind I have a life outside of fursuit making. Sometimes life gets hectic and I can't work on the commission, but I will keep you updated on what's going on at the very least! 

Payment

I only accept payments through Venmo and Cashapp. I will be working with payment plans, Biweekly payments is the minimum i will do. If the commissioner proceeds to not pay when asked, there will be no progress shown or any work done until payment has been processed. Commissioners will not get any part of the commission until it is fully paid for. Commission work does not start until the agreed upon price is paid fully. Down payment refunds will NOT be issued under any circumstances. If the client wishes to back out of a commission before completion, they will not receive the commission in any state or surrender it. Any provided resources to aid in its creation is to be reused in any and all other projects as seen fit by the Creator. All prices provided are subject to change based on complexity and materials needed. The only excuse that I will allow is a medical emergency, or a tragic life event. 

Example- Two cars were totaled in less than 24 hours( due to wild life) and the commissioner desperately needed the money. I am willing to talk about a refund with the down payment and seeing how much I could get back for you ( Of what I haven't spent on materials) if it's an emergency. Other than that I am not willing to give a refund on the down payment. 

Shipping

I ship from Idaho in the US. 

I charge shipping at the end of the process so I can get an accurate amount of what you're going to pay for it. Before shipping the suit I brush and spray it down with fursuit spray ( Isopropyl alcohol and fragrance) . Each piece is wrapped in a scented garbage bag for safety and to prevent water damage (if it occurs). The shipping payment has to be sent before the estimated time of arrival. Please have an extra 100 at least for shipping! After it has been sent, I will provide the corresponding tracking number. If the package is damaged or lost I cannot provide a refund, once the package is out of my hands, I am no longer responsible for its safety.

International shipping

Due to the tariffs on the US, I won't be recommending international shipping.  The only way I would do it is if the buyer is fully aware of the risk and cost. Unexpected custom charges may occur and it's not my responsibility to pay for these costs or to pay for any damages done in shipping.  If the buyer agrees to this then I may accept the risk to ship overseas. 

Social Media Use

Any suits received from me are allowed to be posted anywhere on social media and credit is given to “Punk Paw Studio” Credit isn’t strictly required on every post as long as fursuit making credit isn’t given to someone else. As for my end, I reserve the right to post all of my work on my own socials and any wips I wish to share, if the buyer has an issue with this policy they are allowed to ask about anything I will be posting.

Duct Tape Dummies + Measurements

For heads I require the buyer to measure the circumference of their head around their forehead, and the length from their chin to the middle of their forehead. Hands are one size fits MOST. For feet, I need a pair of slip-on close-toed shoes in your size (similar to HeyDudes). Arm Sleeves also require measurements for your arms. For bodysuits and ¾ suits I require a duct tape dummy to be shipped to me. For a tutorial on how to make one I recommend spiltgrapesoda’s tutorial. Disclaimer: If the dummy is flawed or incorrect the bodysuit will have a poor fit. Please make sure your dummy is accurate to your body or else the suit will not fit correctly. This is not a fault of mine and is the fault of the commissioner, therefore poor fit due to a poor dummy does not qualify for a refund. Following the tutorial above will make a perfect dummy.

Product + prices

Starting prices include one fur color and one minky color, eyes, no raw edges, a few removable parts like tongues or stuffing and a complimentary badge. The pricing is in USD$. Every fur color other than the two provided will be an extra 50$. Minky is an extra 30$ other then the one color provided. ( EHEMMM password is Norman) Please know that due to the tariffs, prices may rise as faux fur comes from China. I highly recommend you figuring out a simple quote from taking the google form quiz.

Agreement

By commissioning Punk Paw Studio for any fursuit related project, I am confirming that I have read and accepted all of Punk Paw Studio Terms of Service mentioned above. I am agreeing that I am at LEAST 18 years of age. As well as agreeing to the repair service and the damage policy, Punk Paw Studio has no control once it's out of their hands for my suit during the shipping process. As the commissioner, I acknowledge that my suit isn't going to be the strongest suit and I need to take care of it. I fully agree to the terms of backing out of the commission and the refund policies. It is my responsibility to make sure my reference sheet is up to date and to make sure it meets the requirements of my maker. I am at fault if I give the wrong measurements to Punk Paw Studio or make a poor DTD to the point it is inaccurate to my body and no longer fits. I agreed that I will pay shipping before the estimated time of arrival and pay fully for a commission, no exceptions. I am agreeing that if I back out of the commission while its in the process of being made, Punk Paw Studio reserves the right to redesign the suit and salvage it or deliver the product as is.
